WAUKESHA COUNTY 911 EMERGENCY DISPATCH CENTER
Waukesha County 911 Emergency Dispatch Center:
First Responders are up to the Challenge 365 Days a Year
The Waukesha County Communications Center is the largest Public Service Answering Point (PSAP) in Waukesha County. They answer all wireless and landline 911 calls for the County and dispatch to Police and Fire/EMS.
This project consisted of a new self-contained building to provide state-of-the-art equipment and services for the department. Because of the critical nature of emergency services, the center was built to be operational, without any interruption, 24 hours / 7 days a week / 365 days a year.
Since staff is not allowed to leave the premises during their shift, special amenities were also part of the design plan. The building included a main dispatch room, toilet/shower rooms, locker rooms, kitchen with appliances, conference rooms and offices.
