Menomonee Falls Fire Department:
Strengthening the Community

With the continued growth in Menomonee Falls, the City took a proactive approach and as a result has ample community fire service.

Teaming with a local architect Harwood Engineering was obtained to provide all engineering design services for both of these fire stations; totaling nearly $6 Million.

Station No. 1 was set on a site with considerable bedrock requiring our civil engineers to plan, support and design stormwater management systems to properly accommodate stormwater run-off, drainage and/or historical rain events.

Unique concrete pavement designs were also put into place to accommodate heavy vehicle turning. Station No. 5’s project boundaries included wetlands. After an analysis and proper permitting, fill was able to be trucked in to the site without delays to the project schedule.

The new stations provide night staffing, offer state-of-the art systems plus much needed comfortable amenities.
