Eau Claire County Jail: Welcomed County Asset

This new major expansion to the County Courthouse Campus was a welcomed new facility and delivered seamlessly.

The new major addition of 345 beds will include different types of modular designed housing, including Direct Supervision, Indirect General Population, and Indirect Special Needs (Medical/Mental Health), as well as a New Intake/Booking Area, Master Control, Food/Laundry, and Administrative Staff Areas.
The remodeling portion of the project will include an expanded joint City/County Law Enforcement Department.

A new 2-level bridge is being built to connect the new Jail to the existing Courthouse. The upper level is a secure corridor for inmate movement. The lower level is non-secure for county staff movement. Three holding cells are being constructed just inside the bridge connection to the Courthouse
