Some unique features of this parking structure include:
- The football coach’s observation space and press box were located below the roof level and had to be water and weather tight.
- Part of the football bleachers are supported by the parking structure.
- The structure was designed for parts of the deck to be removed to allow for future expansion.
The parking deck features a precast spiral staircase as well as a 90,000-pound precast sign panel, completed on schedule and opened prior to the start of the 2012 fall semester.
In addition, a Regional Stormwater Management Pond was designed for the campus to allow for the expansion.
