Mechanical Team Leader

We have an opportunity for a Mechanical Team Leader to join us.  You will lead the team and collaborate with other engineering and functional leaders to promote teamwork, inspire and develop staff, drive execution excellence, and deliver quality engineering projects.


What you’ll do:
    • Lead the design teams’ efforts and techniques to ensure that the design intent is realized.
    • Oversee and contribute to the design of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Systems, including but not limited to: Chilled Water, Hot
    • Water, Refrigerant, Forced Air, Geothermal Source, and Control Systems.
    • Coordinate and work with Municipalities and other approval bodies.
    • Serve as a client liaison for current and future projects.
    • Work cooperatively and collaboratively with team of designers and engineers to recommend solutions for project designs and complete plans.
    • Visit job sites to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress.
    • Participate in project pursuits, interviews and business development activities.
    • Accountable for maintaining production schedules and budget tracking.
    • Develop technical solutions in response to design and code requirements, and assure that design solutions have technical integrity.
    • Manage and develop the team through effective staff development by mentoring, training, and leading by example.
    • Participate in project pursuits, interviews and a variety of business development activities.
Who you are:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 15+ years’ experience in HVAC equipment design and installation with 7+ years of management experience related to leading teams and project management.
    • Licensed PE in Wisconsin.
    • Knowledge in Revit, AutoCAD, Trace 700, COMcheck and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong HVAC design fundamentals, including a background and knowledge of IMC, IBC, IECC, ASHRAE, FGI, and life safety code.
    • Ability to analyze and resolve problems at both a strategic and a functional level.
    • Provide leadership and technical assistance for multiple projects during bidding, design, permitting and construction.
    • Provide efficiency reviews and/or value engineering options for existing designs.
    • Strong interpersonal & leadership skills with demonstrated ability to motivate and influence others.
    • Ability to accurately assess individual capabilities and limitations.
    • Able to navigate through multiple areas of the businesses to establish rapport and create synergies.
Senior Mechanical Engineer

We have an opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer. You will be responsible for managing design engineering and documentation activities of projects including interfacing with cross functional teams consisting of electrical, structural, plumbing, lighting and architectural.

What you’ll do:
    • Lead design efforts to ensure that the design intent is achieved.

    • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills to draft correspondence, reports and communicate effectively with all project stakeholders.
    • Strong HVAC design fundamentals, including a background and knowledge of IMC, IBC, IECC, ASHRAE, FGI, and life safety code.
    • Ability to analyze and resolve problems at both a strategic and a functional level.
    • Act as a primary lead and provide technical assistance for multiple projects during bidding, design, permitting and construction.
    • Provide efficiency reviews and/or value engineering options for existing designs.
    • Demonstrated ability to handle and be responsible for project delivery which may be multiple, large or complex in scope.
    • Ability to analyze and resolve problems at both a strategic and a functional level.
Mechanical CAD Designer

We have an opportunity for a Mechanical CAD Designer. You will be responsible for providing specialized drafting support on various architectural and engineering projects.

What you’ll do:

    • Provide drafting support and building information modeling.
    • Meet production deadlines.
    • Aid in the development of new workflows and production of construction documents.
    • Utilize drafting/design software and technique to ensure that the design intent is achieved.
    • Able to complete a full set of construction documents; understands how buildings are constructed to create accurate and descriptive technical documents.
    • Support and work closely with studio team members; architects, designers, engineers, and interior designers.
    • Accountable for completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of project work.
Who you are:
    • Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 3-5 years’ CAD experience.
    • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other design/rendering software packages.
    • Adept working with Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Basic understanding of applicable building codes, regulations, and standards.
    • Understands the roles of people on the project team and is able to communicate clearly and effectively.
    • Respond timely and appropriately to requests and inquiries from internal and external clients.
    • Self-motivated, high level of accountability and strong time management skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to handle, and be responsible for, project delivery which may be multiple, large or complex in scope.
Electrical CAD Designer

We have an opportunity for an Electrical CAD Designer. You will be responsible for providing specialized drafting support on various architectural and engineering projects.

What you’ll do:

    • Provide drafting support in converting engineer’s markups into working drawings.
    • Assist preparing plans showing electrical device layouts, circuitry, fixtures, equipment, etc.
    • Support design, production and construction administration efforts as assigned.
    • Utilize drafting/design software and technique to ensure that the design intent is achieved.
    • Support and work closely with studio team members; architects, designers, engineers, and interior designers.
    • Accountable for completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of project work.
Who you are:
    • Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering and 3-5 years’ CAD experience.
    • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other design/rendering software packages.
    • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Basic understanding of applicable building codes, regulations and standards.
