Wauwatosa, WI

Services Provided: Electrical, Lighting Design, Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Telecommunications

With a growing number of commuter students and outdated science facilities, Mount Mary University recognized a need for additional common space and science classroom space.

Harwood Engineering was originally engaged to provide a Building Assessment of the seven (7) buildings.  Based upon this assessment, Mount Mary College recognized the need for an additional common space and a science classroom. This project combined the Science Center and Student Commons with flexible teaching laboratories to accommodate a wide range of science instruction, laboratories, lecture halls, instructional classrooms, conference rooms, support spaces, and offices.

The medium volt distribution to this building was upgraded. Work included a new 750 kVA Unit Sub Station and new feeders. For telecommunications, an extension of the existing infrastructure to the building was designed, including IDF’s and horizontal and vertical cable distribution infrastructure.
