Robert J. Brust, P.E., S.E.
Mr. Brust, part of a third generation prominent Milwaukee Architectural family, has been exposed to building design and construction throughout his life. Working as the head of structural design for one of Wisconsin's leading architectural firms gave him the experience and skill to start up his own engineering firm in 1973. Since then Brust Engineering, Inc. developed a notable reputation in the structural engineering profession and became Harwood Engineering Consultants, Ltd.
Specializing in exterior cladding gave Mr. Brust the opportunity to design exterior envelopes on many projects including the John Hancock Plaza Remodeling and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Center. He also traveled the country speaking at seminars on structural engineering topics.
Over 40 years of experience has given Mr. Brust an impressive range of engineering specialties including, structural engineering for asphalt & concrete plants, grain silo repairs, pools, storage tanks, special foundations, parking structures, hospitals, churches and office buildings. His expertise and experience have helped him succeed with projects for Johnson Controls, M&I Corporate, Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance and Anheuser Busch companies.
